The Temiskaming Shores Minor Hockey Association - Home of the Puckhounds welcomes you to our website.  We hope you enjoy your visit and find what you are looking for. The Temiskaming Minor Hockey Association (TSMHA) offers many levels of hockey  - "A", "C" and house for both girls and boys and we are pleased to also have a separate division for girls!  Our focus is to provide a fun hockey experience for all players which allows each player to play at the competitive level that is right for them.  We encourage good sportsmanship and positive fan behavour and have a coaching code of conduct.  All of this is designed to ensure a positive hockey experience for all and to allow hockey to continue to be the nations greatest game!

What We Do

The TSMHA runs each year from September to April.  Try outs for the competitive teams occur in September and both the house and cometitive leagues start in October .  We offer -

• Novice  - House. "A"
• Atom - House, "A", "C"
• Peewee - House, "A", "C"
• Bantam - House, "A","C"
• Midget - House, "A", "C" 
• Girls only teams

House League hockey plays the league games within the District ofTimiskaming with an average of 25 games per year.  Most teams also participate in two or three tournaments per year.

"A" level hockey plays in the Northeastern loop which spans from Hearst  to New Liskeard.  An average of 40 games are supplemented by exhibition games which are organized at the discretion of the team's coach.  Most "A" levels teams participate in three to four  tournaments per year.

"C" level hockey plays in the Nipissing loop which includes the teams sourrounding the City of North Bay.  An average of 40 league games are supplemented by exhibition games which are at the discretion of the team's coach.  Most "C" level teams participate in three tournaments per year.

Girls hockey is continually expanding in the Temiskaming Shores Minor Hockey Association.  In addition to an all girl midget travel team, there are all girl Novice/Atom and PeeWee/Bantam/Midget teams.  While the TSMHA hosts all girl teams, many girls prefer to play in the regular league with the guys.  Girls participate in the regular league with the boys both in the house and competitive teams. 

 Our Association has been blessed by the volunteer participation of a large number of volunteers and an exceeding number of exceptional coaches, trainers and managers.  The committment from these people allows over 300 girls and boys to not only participate and enjoy the game of hockey but to excel.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers and sponsors for their assistance in helping TSMHA provide great recreational opportunities for our youth.
